I hope everyone is doing OK in what are still unfortunately uncertain times! I thought I’d take 5 minutes to update you on everything that has been keeping me busy this past month or two.
First off is the release of an album that I played on by a talented chap called Paul Sadler. The album is called “Soon to Be Absorbed” and it came out on the 1st of December. It’s done well so far, getting some decent reviews and featuring as the Prog Magazine editors album of the month. Feel free to check it out here:
I also recorded a cover of this fun track by Antoine Fafard, which you can check out here:
Antoine is a great composer who has worked with some of my favourite drummers (including Gavin Harrison and Simon Phillips amongst many others), and I really enjoyed having a go at this track. The track is available for free at his website, which you can check out here:
I am also busy working on three other projects which should hopefully be recorded throughout this year, as well as dealing with the promo for a mammoth project I’ve been working on for over five years (more on that soon!).
I am still teaching Skype and Zoom drum lessons too, so please get in touch if you would like to work on anything from beginner grooves up through to advanced technique! I can teach online, as well as in-person in Manchester once things reopen.
All in all I’m feeling lucky to be busy, and I just want to take a moment to thank all the people who’ve helped me throughout the pandemic.
Cheers and stay safe everyone!
