Making slow but steady improvements to my ankle te

Making slow but steady improvements to my ankle technique,mainly trying to isolate the calf muscles for control at faster speeds. Also tuned my bass drum up more than usual which has helped with clarity/rebound (although yet to hear how it sounds micced up).

Main sources of information/inspiration for these techniques are @daveelitch (beater off the head!) and @james_wp, who both have great online courses.

Please excuse the formal footwear, recorded this after teaching in a school all day...

Added the final touches to my pedal setup with these retro Danmar beaters and I think I'm finally happy with it all. Pedals are @officialtamadrums speed cobras,and the drive shaft is the incredible Ultimate Drive Shaft by @acd_unlimited. Feel lucky to have such excellent gear!

A little bit of footwork from a tune called Stutter at the @malakoffrockfestival with @esb666_. This part is a killer as it's a strange tempo to keep consistent and it goes on for over 30 seconds,but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Big thanks to @joelazarusdrums for filming and for general tech assistance on the day!

Also shout out to @acd_unlimited for their great pedal upgrades. Love the ultimate drive shaft and my left pedal feels pretty much as good as my right now, which makes doing all this footwork a lot easier (paid for it myself too,so not saying this as an endorsee).
